National Graduate School in Psychiatry

The University of Gothenburg and Lund University run a Graduate School in Psychiatry whose purpose is to attract research students interested in:

- Various psychological phenomena and their relationship to external factors and biochemistry

- Critically evaluating old treatment methods and testing new methods

- Investigating the occurrence and courses of disorders in epidemiology studies, using the unique databases available in Sweden.

The objective of the Graduate School is to create dynamic clinical research environments and contribute to scientific knowledge in psychiatry. The Graduate School promotes recruitment in the fields of clinical research, enables networking, stimulates diversity and interdisciplinary approaches, and increases national and international collaboration. The Graduate School (20 HE credits) began in spring 2012 and comprises six blocks in which methods in various research fields are examined using interactive educational methods. The programme also includes a series of seminars in various fields. See Course Plan.

Who can apply?
People who are planning to start postgraduate studies or who have started such studies but who have not yet reached the halfway review point.
